Im taking my girl to London for a few days. she has a passport but she also has a misdemeanor warrant in california. we are flying out of Ohare in chicago. will she be able to travel since its not a felony? we are supposed to leave in like 3 days so i need to know ASAP.
Warrants are either 'Extraditable' or 'Non-extraditable'. It basically means whether or not they want you bad enough to pay to ship you back to the state you're wanted in.
For a misdemeanor, not likely. Police who find out this info on a routine check won't do anything about a 'non-extraditable' warrant (other than give you crap about it).
Some countries may not allow you in, if they find the warrant.
On the other hand, it's still hanging out there, and it's a good idea to pay the fine and get that fixed!
