Hey yall,
I have no idea what it's like skiing in central Europe. I plan on cross-country skiing (also called nordic skiing) and was wondering if anyone knows how its done in Europe. Like do people just go to some random park and begin skiing, or does one need a lift ticket like downhill skiing? Also, if anyone is familiar with places to go skiing in central Europe. I have a couple friends in western Slovakia who I could go skiing with so maybe they will be able to help as well. I just got the idea, and was thinkning how amazing it would be to do...anyways.
Cheers.
MD

The town on Innsbruck Austria is basically one big ski village in the winter. Ive heard skiing in Europe is different than it is in the states, like the mountain is configured differently. Ive forgotten what it was exactly. Does anyone have any experience with this?

When I was in NY I met some Germans in a bar and was asking them about skiing in the Alps. They said there are a lot more hidden obstacles like small drop offs and stuff like that but I don’t really know that’s just what someone in a bar told me. I was thinking about checking out some skiing in central Europe my self but ultimately decided I did not want to deal with packing my ski gear.
