okay so i'm home been home for a couple of weeks and can't wait till i get back out on another trip. i'm saving the money. i'm still out and doing my normal things, but things aren't what they once were. they are dull, i've got a few trips coming up that i say don't count because well im going to be around family. so what do you do to keep busy/not bored between trips?

I work in a bar. It's a great way to meet people and it keeps you occupied at night so you don't keep yourself awake thinking of all the other greate places you could be...well I guess it may down play it a bit. Or just go out with old friends, and get some booze in your system. Good luck!

Between trips I study, since I'm usually at school, but since I'm abroad in China from the US from Malaysia I guess I'm technically perpetually on trips.

I always plan for the next trip (or two) in between actual traveling though i.e. spend waaaay too much time on travel sites :P, and work to finance the trips. Catch up with friends. Learn stuff, write a few songs, read books or just explore the place that I'm in - there's always cool things to see nearby.

I spend my time researching and planning for the next trip, while smoking huge amounts of herb to help me forget that I have 8 more months to go. I did just go on a trip with the family, but not the same. We have a few wknd trips, but not the same. Unless I have a pack on and 3-4 weeks to travel I am not happy. I once read a question on these boards about when does the sadness of coming home go away, and the answer was when you leave to go again. I couldn't agree anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simply put, I wait for the road to call me again...of course, when is she never? Other than that I do pointless factory work trying to scrape together money with the memories of my travels make me smile and stoke the fires at the same time.

i work... at times two jobs... but like right now it's a busy time at work and yet it's very boring to me. you can only tell school kids to smile so much before you get bored.

i want to plan my next trip but i don't want to over plan like i did that last time and ended up not doing MOST of it because other things came up.

I think we all have to work in between to save for the next trip. One of these days I'll just leave and work as I need the money while traveling.

I travel domestically a lot so that I don't settle into a boring routine.
I make more money and I drink heavily.
Of course, I drink heavily whether in between trips or on one.
