I watched the episode about the man living as a Muslim for 30 days. It was a good episode and much more interesting than the one with the guy taking the supplements. Next episode also looks to be rather intriguing. It's about abortion, pro-life and pro-choice.. A woman who is pro-choice lives in a group home for pregnant women, operated by people who do not believe in abortion. Its will be aired on Wednesday August 23 at 10PM. I found a video clip from youtube >>
Yeah they played that show late at night in Aus for a while and being a University student I watch a lot of late night TV (or at least I did until the invasion of the late night game show ) I thought the best episode was the first one where they were living on minimum wage. The muslim episode was good too.

I love the show. I think they do pretty well at showing both sides equally and that the people that are coming into someone's home being against a certain view, are allowed pretty easily to say they're side.
I think sometimes though it leans a little too far into the person who comes in as trying to live 30 days as someone new has to learn from it and feel some change. For some reason it seems more expected of them than the other side.

I agree with that SuDz... It's a good, light show. Something I always could turn on while I was doing something else. btw.. Tonight is the Abortion episode on 30 Days at 10PM ET. They will show it again at 11PM ET (8PM PT).

Remember the one where the Mum (Mom) had to get drunk every night? And she had a really hot, yet REALLY annoying daughter. Also there was 1 guy bragging about his "record" of 16 beers. Pffft I'm from Australia I did that when I was 15.
Anyway it's a great show with a few patchy episodes. The supplements one was crap.
I thought the one with the San Franciscan gay guys was good though.

I think the premise for all of them is great. They really get some good matchups. I liked the one recently with the Minutman Border Patrol guy living in the states with a group of illegal immigrants.

That one was actually really touching.

Thats what I mean. If it was just like a Jerry Springer style where they put these people together and let htem just battle it out, it would get old. The fact that they put opposite groups to live and spend all of the next 30 days together, you get much better results. It seems like the first week is justkind of fighting in some form, but then after that, once they start talking and listening to one another, it seems as if they actually come to understand that one another has their views that they might not agree with, but they can try to understand.

Anyone watch that jail episode tonight? Pretty good. Had a few questions at the end but it was pretty solid overall I felt. Plus he touched on the prison industrial complex issue which SOMEHOW people still seem to think is made up. Fuck our prison system, and tip of the hat to old Morgan Spurlock.
