Hi everyone, just joined your site and very impressed. Amazing amount of information here. I have read the gear topic of the forum where there are different reviews of travelling backpacks although i am still struggling a bit as to what i need. I am leaving for Australia in 6 weeks for a 1 year working holiday Visa, first time i have every gone backpacking and unsure what i actually need.
Judging by your reviews the Gregory Palisade Large or Medium would be the perfect bag to go to Australia with right? Would there be any other bag/model possibly better for a trip to Australia because i really am new to this stuff.

If that was a stupid question because i really am new to this stuff. How many litres should a bag need to hold for a backpacking trip to oz because i dont want something massive and something that is too small. 65-75 litre range about normal right?
