Hi there, im new to travelling. I'm looking to know if it is worthwhile keeping travel blogs, what sites anyone would recommend having for blogging travel experiences. Im really into mapmaking and cartography so perhaps someone could recommend a good site for me?
Cheers and beers to all

If you're really into maps and stuff, get out GeoBloggers.org. It's a shame, its kinda changed directions lately, but you can find links there to good sites. A lot of people in that community work on things such as incorporating GoogleMaps and Google Earth with their Flickr photo sites which make an awesome mashup.
I've been meaning to start a thread about this, its called "Geotagging" and from what i've seen, its pretty tight. If you look at it, let me know what you think.
and welcome to the boards!

Definitely some good sites recommended there. Thanks to all. I'd also like to recommend www.geocaching.com for those who are interested in maps and global positioning.
